For those who want basically secular history with some non-inspirational references to Biblical characters (something like The Story of the World by Susan Bauer), then this could be for you. As a Christian family looking for something that seriously integrated Biblical history with other world history, or provides thought-provoking commentary, this wasn’t it. I still incorporated sections of this audiobook into our curriculum, though, since the narration is excellent / engaging, and I feel it does a great job introducing famous individuals and civilizations (even less well-known ones, like the Hittites).
