The worst part about a hyperfixation is when there’s nothing left to fixate on. I finished Jeff’s reading of this series in under 2 weeks due to pure dedication (and little self control) and it’s up there with some of the greats. The way the story evolved from the first book to where we are now has been a beauty to behold.
Matt has a grasp on modern character development, and the characters, albeit some caricatures, are delightfully written and clearly evolve as the story does. One of my major worries with the extremely technical stories is forgetting information among the multitudes but I have been shot by Chekhov’s Gun multiple times in these stories. All I can think is that Matt has an entire room dedicated to mapping out each tracked element in the world he has created, dedication we can all aspire to.
I now currently have a void that needs to be filled. But I will get in line and wait for our favorite crawlers to return. Thank you Matt and Jeff
