Gripping storyline. I loved that the zombies aren’t actually unrealistically animated dead people. Instead they are very much alive, fast, strong and extremely deadly, making it all the more terrifying. The location setting in my hometown of Austin, TX, made it even more realistic and relatable to me, as I knew every single street and landmark which was accurately referenced. I had been to all those places and could easily visualize the exact surroundings the characters were in. At times, the setting was right down the road from where I actually live, which was even more creepy. No main character is safe and my heart was broken quite often, however I’m quite pleased with how this series ended. It actually brought happy tears to my eyes. Well written.
