Book 2 of the Boulder Ranch Series is more of a companion to book 1. So we’re in the same timeline as book 1, but from the perspectives of Joy and Tate. Seeing the relationship between the Garrison brothers, but from the other perspective, is brilliant planning. Watching Joy and Tate fall quickly for each other and the spicy scenes are steamy! Tate and Joy really struggle as Tate becomes her boss once he purchases Boulder Ranch. Joy really puts herself first and recognizes that she loves Tate, and realizes that if she doesn’t go get what she wants, she won’t get it. Tate is steadfast throughout the story. Not just for Joy, but for his brother Grayson as well.
The duet audio with Charlie L. Wood and James Cassidy was excellent. It was my first book for both of them, and they were both simply a delight. Charlie really understood Joy’s character and gave such life to her. James’ deep baritone echoed Tate’s consistency. I thoroughly enjoyed this audiobook! Thanks to Blue Nose Publishing for the chance to read and review.
