Everybody Loves Large Chests never had a great story, but it used made me laugh out loud. Now it doesn’t even have that and the story has ground to a halt. A good anecdote showing this is that at one point in the story Boxxy does a little side adventure, then complains when it’s done that it was a complete waste of time… and he was right, but for the listener as well.

Sentences are spoken.
And nothing interesting happens.
…at least for as far as I got in the book, because I got so bored that I quit and I am now done with the series. That’s my criteria for a 2 star book, so that’s what I gave it.
