Well, the books are focused of DCCarl, not DCDonut, but I would have liked a bit more of the cat. This is the first time I heard Jeff Hayes as the narrator. He took some getting used to but his gravely voice does match the dungeon. Unlike books 2 and 3, we are now privy to more of the machinations behind the crawl. The randomness of the crawl starts to take shape by the end of the book and the story promises to come alive in the next book and explains, just a little, what happened to everybody. The story is really a big set-up for the next book but that’s ok. These books are perfect to listen to while you work.
