I was doing ok until the wolves started thinking (talking) to themselves with human language and behavior. Yes, this is science fiction, but for me, the scenarios should be plausible and possible for me to enjoy the story. In and apocalyptic scenario, sure the wolves could become more dangerous to humans, but they are not going to start acting like a tribe of humans. Other dumb things too, like why do the people not know what the signs on buildings mean when some can read. How would they have lost some knowledge of basic things like: what a diner or a library was? How come they have not retained or developed past stone age skills when they have all of the examples around them, plus they are descendants of a civilized race. How did they lose all knowledge of everything? I have stopped listening to this book before the end.
