I never write reviews, but I couldn’t wait to finish this book so I could write this. The choice in narrators was awful. Both narrators felt robotic and just not a good fit for this genre. At one point the woman narrator imitated the voice of siri or alexa (I can’t remember which) but it was identical to the voice she’d been using for the FMC. It made me wonder if AI was used for the entire book. And the horrible “SC accent” that was attempted took me back to 1920s. The narrators really took away from this book that wasn’t bad, but predictable and lacked depth.
