Despite the FMC Rosalina being a self proclaimed lover of romance novels, she does not realize sex can be more passionate and meaningful than a quickie during which her abusive boyfriend says he wants to make her scream like a dying hare.
For some reason, Rosalina can pick locks with nothing more than a single long thorn. She learned how to do this as a teen because her father would constantly change the locks to their home and forget to give her a key.
She thinks a fae man wearing restraints that are too big for him and that he could easily get out of who tells her he does not need her to free him and that she needs to leave or she’ll get hurt is being wrongfully imprisoned. She decides to set this man free using her inexplicable lock picking skills and is surprised when things go badly and she gets hurt, just like he said she would.
I’m dnfing this one.
As a side note, the phrase “looks like something out of a fairytale” shouldn’t be used to describe anything in a fairytale retelling.
