I got book 1 as a “something to kill time and decompress between work blocks” sorta thing. 2 months later I just finished book 7. I’ve been so immersed in Matt (and Jeff’s) world that I left the real world behind. I lost my wife and my job as a result. Totally worth it. This series is now my all time favorite. Matt took the place of my childhood favorite, Stephen King. Thank you for ruining my life, Matt. I need book 8!
