And while that’s true, I was blindsided as I read this because I had no idea that a high percentage of this book is basically porn. I thought I was going to be reading a near future sci-fi but it ended up being erotica. The sci-fi parts were thought-provoking though, but a little on the light side. Very much in contrast to Ian McEwan‘s novel Machines Like Me, which was a lot more in depth, but leaves you with a black cloud. Whereas this one has more optimism. The narrator was wonderful.
