In a world where profit, power, and wealth matter more than anything, please read this book. We can’t allow Sam Altman’s ambition, or that of others like him, to result in human extinction. Altman has a track record of lying and deceiving to further his goals. These habits are well documented by respected journalists who have talked to those who have worked with him. Though this book barely mentions him, I had him top of mind as I read how super intelligence will destroy humanity.
If Anyone Builds It, Everyone Dies, could also be titled, If Enough People Read This, We Might Get to Live. Let’s not rely on Sam Altman to bring about the end of the world so that he can be the first to do it.
