Getting to book 4 was well worth pushing through the things about books 2-3 that I didn’t like. Book 4 had me eating out of the palm of its hand. There were several story elements that took me by surprise, well done to Neven for that! And to my surprise, the battles in this book are REALLY well done.
As for the audio: Jeff Hays is one of the best, period. The addition of Annie Ellicott was great, she did a fantastic job doing the new female characters. In fact, I sometimes questioned who was voicing who. She blended in with Jeff Hays VERY well! And I like the sound effects for the most part, there were a couple I didn’t like, but the rest really helped with the immersion for me personally.
As for the sexual aspects of this series, this book did it just right IMO. It was toned down to just the right level for me, and it didnt do anything “too far” for my liking (unlike books 2 and 3).
10/10 great book, jumping right into book 5!
