I wasn’t sure I’d enjoy this book, being drawn more to fantasy and hard science fiction, but honestly I couldn’t stop listening to Sybil’s story. It had me laughing, reflecting on my own relationships and decisions, and crying my eyes out at my daughter’s gymnastics practice. The storytelling through letters was engaging and very unique, and I felt that the author navigated this with genius. I want to buy The Correspondent for all my friends and family members for Christmas to share this with everyone I love.
