Of the 1000’s of true crime books, stories, podcasts, documentaries I have consumed, this one stands out as chillingly perfect. To hear the story told in the first person is fascinating and at times very difficult to listen to. I’m an animal lover, and I found the graphic descriptions of animal torture to be very very difficult so listeners beware. However, Jack Olson lives up to his title as the king of true crime authorship Kevin Pierce is my all-time favorite narrator. I often seek out audiobooks just because he’s the one reading them, but he really truly is at his absolute best reading true crime. This book still haunt me.
