I am so glad I got this as a complete series collection because every part of it was a complete let down. Libertarian Batman “Ben” lucks his way east through the spirit Halloween of apocalypses. everything is horrifying but nothing ever harms them. the book ending struggles were what would be introduction conflicts in other stories heck the big fight in the first book happens “off screen” everyone can be identified as bad or good along very worrisome steriotypes. and bad things only happen when Ben ignores his survalist ESP and anyone who isn’t a manly prepper is an incompetent idiot then to drive home the pointlessness the return trip is waved off with “if we made it here we can make it back” there are countless end of the world books try one of them because this was a waste of time.
