The most annoying and constant issue with the series is the 2D character development. There was little left to latch on to character wise, despite what other reviewers say. The main protagonist is only set on getting from the point they are at to point B. little background and explanation about important relationships and background to characters and the other family like the ex wife. the budding relationship between the son and his girlfriend is not nearly developed or building either, and this is just the beginning. the entire series is like this. the other constant nagging issue is the endless problem after problem. there is little to no room to actually BUILD the characters. it’s just one event to another. I could drone on and on about specific examples but I also don’t want to ruin with spoilers. I think other people’s ratings are far too generous. I never review anything on here and decided this was so bad I had to. nearly any other survival series in the genre actually expounds on some of these very basic things the series is lacking. I’m going to finish it just to do so since it’s included with my membership. the narrator did a great job. that is the only redeeming factor. the series itself is lacking, majorly. it is a grind fest.
