This series is excellent and very engrossing. I highly recommend it for fans of this genre.

I do have one issue with the last 3 books in this series. While the plot twists and turns are familiar and interesting, some of the secondary characters have become caricatures of their former selves, with Randy being at the top of the list. Practically every secondary character is an extreme and 1 dimensional version of what they once were. Is it possible that the story arc and incidents are scripted by Horton and the dialog and narrative are done by ghost writers? If so, dial it down, people.
