I made it through book 1. Story was ok, then it fell into the same old gangs controlling everything, raping, pillaging and slavery. I’m sorry, but if people cannot survive after 96% of the population have died (quickly) and you still have access to all of your resources, you were not meant to make it. I guess I live in a different part of the country because if 96% of my hometown died, I would have no problem finding food, water, shelter and transportation. All I would need to find is some companionship out of the 4% remaining..
