world building is fantastic, but the actual character development is mid at the best of times. Some of the NPCs have more interesting stories and development than the MCs. so many story archs and plot points are just never resolved, but just left: like they are super important… then just completely forgotten abou?!
I’ve really tried, and i really want to love the books, but the more I listen, the more it feels like AI slop.
