I wanted to like this, but the level of inaccuracy about Knoxville is astounding. the MMC calling a heavily forested area dusty. The FMC saying “i stop a the red-light, one of only three in town…” what the hell? Knoxville has a population over 100k in the city proper. she also said the whole town knew all her business with her ex. In a city that size? really?
To top all that off the FMC isn’t even old enough to have the job she does as a physical therapist. with the info in the book shes 23 to 24 years old. it takes 7 years of schooling to be a PT. so at minimum she’d need to be 25 to fresh out of school.
I get this is fiction, but it’s contemporary fiction that was based in a real city. only made it to chapter 10 before I just couldn’t do it any more.
