This is the 2nd book I’ve read by Lee Welch. Her stories have plots that don’t seem forced. Other mm romance novels I’ve read recently, and there have been a LOT, feel like they’re centered around the romance and the story is woven around it to provide a backdrop. Her stories are feel more organic, balanced. I’m as much interested in the plot of the book as I am about the romance. Both characters felt real, their emotions and backstories. It had just the right amount of whimsy and spice.
