This was such a good book! I’ve read maybe 30 mm romances recently and this one was by far the most interesting novel among them. Welch balances the storytelling and romance so well. I was captivated by the mystery and it felt more substantial as a novel. Even without any romance it would have stood up on its own. The romance was really heartfelt too. I only wish it was a little bit longer, I would have loved to see them settle in life more.
