I followed a hunch to give this book a try in spite of it having multiple readers. My experience with multiple readers has not been the best. I was not disappointed. The reading performances suit the story, and both are captivating. Virginia Evans does more than write to say words well. She captures insights and nuances that make her characters alive in a relatable way, regardless whether my experiences are the same as theirs. I will be looking forward to her next book with great anticipation.
