Hate to leave a poor review, its obvious that many people love this series but if Mistborn and Dungeon crawler carl are 5/5 then i cant put these books anywhere near them.
The world was fascinating for the first few books, The concept of chester was fun but quickly repetive and i dont feel the depth or growth in the characters like i do in other books. To many anime cringe moments for my taste – explore darker adult themed topics and then the characters faun over each other in such a childish way. After rolling my eyes so many times i start to question why I’m even listening to it. That said, while i dont like the voice the narrator uses for Damon, it is a very clear and well done production.
