I will first say the performance is wonderful. I have enjoyed epistolary literature before, but this one was very uneventful and drawn out. I kept thinking it has to get better. I found myself bored. I did not care much for the main character, Sybil. She was self-centered and completely unaware that she operates in that manner. I was really hoping there would be some grandiose moment of self realization. Overall, I was just hungry for more from this book. While they were little appetizers of pleasantries, the main dish was never served.
