This was a beautiful story and a complicated main character. As she wove the tale in this most interesting way through correspondence, there were times when you could barely see through the shadows of her story to something deeper, which pulled you in further and further. Sometimes I thought we were going to get to something huge and dramatic, but in the end, the story was simple and sad and about grief and guilt. In the end, our main character, Sybil, drew me in and won me over. It was a beautiful tale and uniquely told.
