Imaginative descriptions of geological disasters. Waaaay too much focus on characters. I didn’t need pages and pages of details about close calls. I didn’t need dumb characters making irresponsible choices. Yeah. I know it’s just a book. But the goal is to get the reader to identify with and care about characters. In my case, this was a huge swing and miss. Thank goodness for 2x speed on Audible! BTW the narrator should learn how to pronounce Puyallup and Marin!
