I never imagined a liberal journalist could write a decent post-apocalyptic novel. The science and economics were inaccurate, but that’s fiction for you. The repetitive talking points throughout the series got old, but I listened because the story was compelling.. kinda.. I’ve finished book five and am done with this author. If you’re like me and read over 100 books a year and need some filler books while waiting for other series, you could do worse than this.
