After reading some of the reviews, it blows my mind that they didn’t finish the rest of the book. First of all, this is a great storyline/plotline. The characters are also well written. Now, Les — yes, she’s immature at times and she runs from her emotions BUT that’s understandable.. especially since she was RAPED and TORTURED REPEATEDLY FOR FOUR DAYS at 13! Needless to say, yes she’s going to have moments because I’m sure that ruined some of her childhood.
She’s a MAFIA leader/boss and YES she does act like it. She’s amazing at running the group but she’s not great at dealing with her feelings/emotions. I loved watching the relationships bloom between all of them and even the individual relationships.
I’ve listened to the audio of this MANY MANY TIMES… I’m always doing a re-listen. It’s one of my favorite series.
Patrick Zeller did an amazing job bringing the male POVs to life. He truly showed their emotions and made you feel them as well. He’s very talented and was a perfect fit for this series. Ada Sinclair was great for Les, the FMC.
