I loved the format of this book! Sybil’s whole life was revealed by what she wrote in letters to others, and what they wrote back to her. Even though she was elderly at the beginning of the story, she grew as a person until she achieved what many of us hope to achieve, and that is the ability to see herself for what she was, and to take steps to make amends to people she had hurt. She saved the hardest apology for last, and it was obviously hard for her to write—or in this case, dictate, because she had lost her sight. Yet as she last her sight, she was able to see life much more clearly. I really enjoyed this book.
