Most of the story movement is at the end. I would have liked it woven in because it’s more like a cliff notes version, but the unity and joy felt at the waste management company can never be outdone. This author is a treasure. Professional life just upended and so I dug out this series again for some much needed catharsis. Irreverent, witty, masterful, and wholly genre defining. This book was a bit light in the humorous friends you can’t control aspect and some of the “attitudes going too far” felt reigned in for brevity, or to show unity, but the show of exasperated grace was missed or brief. If Carl can’t experience it, it was nice to have others do so as was transferred… but that shifts who is a likable victim here. It’s a bit thicker, meatier, dense. Regardless, fun for all. Excited for the next one.
