Got this book on a whim after reading the details with no expectations and an open mind. The beginning is a bit of fluff with a feeling of a comfy slice of life tale with a well done but very onerous section of a different spoken language with no translation. It almost had me ready to give up as the story was being well built, but not necessarily in the direction I was interested in it taking.

Then “It” happens. The part that makes you sit up and start paying attention to what is to begin the M.C.s journey and realization that everything isn’t just a lovely fairytale with no stakes on the line.

The real character building begins there and plays out through the rest of the story with equal parts joy and sadness with the twists always there to remind you even in a fairytale land, the humanity of the situation is what can shock us into the realization of what we really want and are.
