Let me start by saying this was a great ending to a very LONG journey. I decided to review the whole series at the end instead of after each book— so keep that in mind when reading my review. Would I recommend this series? Absolutely! I fell in love with the characters and wanted nothing but to see them win. Ben is the real MVP— he got his family through every challenge, which made his character extremely lovable.

My pros:
– it’s long and will keep you entertained for days
– the plot is good and very eventful
– it’s not predictable
– I’m a sucker for romance and even though there’s barely any here, I love that Ben and Sandy lowkey had feelings for one another but kept it demure
– every character is strong-willed and no one got on my nerves (too bad)

My con(s) on this series is:
– the beginning is kind of boring (just the first book, so hang in there, it gets better)
– sometimes the characters’ inner monologue feels unnecessary (they’re long winded and not relevant thoughts that add to the story)
– I’m pretty sure Ben asked Sandy to stay w/ them at their house in Durango by like the 5th book, but it seems like every other book he’s asking her to stay with them as if it’s the first time he mentioned it

I’ll be moving on to the spin-off series. ✨
