I came for the cool plot idea of humans discovering ancient alien relics.
Unfortunately, the characters and their interactions were naively simplistic, they werent believable. The military characters didnt seem authentic — they behaved like high school jocks. The scientists were similarly childish in their motivations and interactions. Normally Im not super picky about this stuff if the story gets moving along. I tried to push through it, but these issues kept killing the atmosphere and after a while I couldnt listen any longer.
The author would do well to get a proofreader that is an archeologist and one that is a military veteran, then use their feedback to improve the believability of such characters in the future.
Audio performance was good, the only minor issue was that female characters all sounded a bit too similar.
