What in the hey-well just happened? This book was so full of action that my head is still spinning! We got SO MUCH growth out of our characters and I love them even more for it.
Mercy irritated me at times with her holier than thou act. I mean, hello being a total hypocrite not liking what Gabriel does but not seeming to mind too much receiving the benefits! Ugh! Thankfully she started to come around.
Then there’s Gabriel! He is officially a book boyfriend. I love him! He had the most changes happen to him emotionally and was brave enough to reach out for what he wanted. Made himself vulnerable on several occasions.
Also, we have the secondary characters, not mentioning any names in case you came here directly after finishing book 2! 😉 Those characters are always fun and given depth. I figured something out that was supposed to be a mystery early on and was disappointed to find out I was right. 😤 sucked! My heart broke at the beginning of this book of course and I’m still bummed but I get why it had to happen only to continue to build on the suspense from there. So many moving pieces I cannot BELIEVE I’ve yet to really mention the unbelievable amount of HEAT in ALL these books! The dang storyline has been SO GOOD I haven’t expounded on the massive level of smëxy time in each story. Those scenes are frequent and always hot AF. Like seriously fan yourself go take a cold shower hot hot hot!
Next we have Alex Kydd and Ada Sinclair who ARE Gabriel and Mercy. Everytime I had the opportunity to listen, I was just as happy as when I “hear the characters”in my own head. Hands down, these narrators have these characters perfectly. Just how I think they’d sound!
All in all, I am chomping at the bit to find out all this all ends. Of course this ended on another GIGANTIC cliffy. What I think is going to happen I’m hoping does not. No jokes, not sure I could handle it if it goes there…fingers crossed it doesn’t but diving in now to find out!
