I am in a book club & this book has come up multiple times in books “we want to read” but it never has made it to the final book choice. It’s also in my list of books I have been wanting to read it so I finally decided to just read it on my own & boy am I so unbelievably glad I did! This is probably my most favorite book I have read or listened to. I laughed, cried, gasped and went through a myriad range of other emotions.
I love how the author chose to tell the life story of the main character as an epistolary. I love how the audiobook has several different people “playing” the characters of the novel. I loved getting to know each character by who the letters are written too.
I was bummed when I didn’t have the opportunity to listen because my situation didn’t allow it & sad when the book came to an end. I told one of my friends “I don’t think I would be friends with the main character” but by the time I was finished with the book I longed to know her personally.
I literally wanted to begin the audio book as soon as I was finished!
