I don’t care how many times I have to say it, narration matters! These are audiobooks. You would think that the narration would be a bigger priority. But for some reason, that doesn’t seem to be the case, and that’s really sad. I didn’t have any expectations for this book… because I’ve never listened to anything by this author before. However, just knowing that Charlie L. Wood was the female narrator made me a little skeptical? And boy was, I right. I don’t know what she was trying to do with that faux southern accent, but it was bad.It was so bad! she’s already not good…but to add the accent just made her ten times worse. Please understand that if you are putting out an audiobook.People want to get lost in the characters, and in the story. They don’t want to have to keep speeding up the story, or stopping the story all together, because the narration sucks! The male narrator was fine and the storyline was ok. That’s all!
