I didn’t understand the hype for this book. The writing was technically amazing and the concept of storytelling through letters was very creative. I just didn’t care about the story and found the protagonist to be insufferable. My rating reflects my disinterest in the plot, not a reflection of the author’s abilities. This is clearly a beloved book for many. I do recommend the audiobook version. Having the different characters read adds a nice element and the voice acting is very well done.
