If you are looking for top-tier audio production, this is it. The sound quality and Jeff Hays’ vocal range are exceptional. I particularly loved the “odd couple” dynamic between Carl and Princess Donut.
That said, the story itself felt a bit standard for the genre. The game mechanics were a bit messy, and the secondary characters didn’t leave much of an impression. While the pacing is decent, the humor felt a bit inconsistent. I enjoyed it as a casual listen, but I’m not sure I’m hooked enough to dive straight into the sequels to give it more chance…
