I truly enjoyed listening to this book on Audible. As someone who grew up in the generation of handwritten letters and pen pals, it brought back a deep sense of nostalgia and reminded me how meaningful writing and receiving letters once was, and how central that practice was to my childhood and adolescence.

One of the aspects I appreciated most is how, through Sybil’s correspondence, the author gradually reveals each character with remarkable depth. Rather than relying on direct descriptions, their personalities unfold organically through their voices, emotions, and exchanges, allowing all their complexities to emerge naturally.

I was also delighted by the “fictional” correspondence between the protagonist and well-known writers, which added an extra layer of charm, playfulness, and literary intimacy to the story.

This is a book for anyone who has ever loved words, letters, and human connection—and a gentle invitation to slow down, read, and rediscover the quiet magic of correspondence.
