The audio for this book was amazing!! I flew through it and I’m still thinking about it! This one pulled me in immediately and never really let go. I’m a sucker for the grumpy MMC every time.

Everleigh and Maverick were not only perfect for each other but had me hooked from the very start. Everleigh was sent to Vegas for work. She was fully prepared to manage a reputation nightmare, only to find out her mystery client is Maverick. He made nothing easy for her. He was exhausting in the most entertaining way.

Maverick hates everyone, like everyone. Except her. Watching Everleigh stay patient while he pushes every button was both impressive and a little painful because he is absolutely grade A annoying at times. I wish I could have that trait. HA.

Maverick also kind of broke my heart. With his grief, his fear of being left, and the walls he’s built around himself were written with so much care. Lisa wrote it so well for us to understand why he’s the way he is, even when you just want to shake him.

I love a strong FMC in a book. Every time. Everleigh was ambitious, driven, and refuses to lose herself in the relationship. Even when I didn’t agree with her choices during the conflict. Her loyalty runs deep, sometimes to a fault, and that felt painfully realistic. I was so happy with how it ended.

Liam Dicosimo and Stefanie Kay were the prefect cast for these two!
