The narration is the only good thing about this book. Almost all the characters are bipolar, constantly switching emotions and ignoring things that no one in their right mind would. The premise, while intresting is very poorly executed. The MC is just awful; he acts like a pubescent teenager with no life experience. He’s supposed to be a thirty year old vetran scout that was raised on the streets, yet he has an absolutely idiotic sense of honor. As for what can generously be called a plot. It really isn’t well thought out or executed. The pacing is non-existent, as in it’s so rushed that your head will spin. Much of it goes as follows: MC meets a character, proceeds to eat people in front of them, and ten seconds later, they are best friends. Rinse and repeat a few times, and that’s how the crew gets together. The “villain” of the book is a cookie-cutter snarking noble. You know the kind you expect to see in a kids’ cartoon.

TLDR: It’s bad and not worth the credit.
