I loved this book it is a great look at the issues with pitcher injury in baseball. It’s ability to take small personal views and broad lenses while being very engaging is really a compliment to Passans research and writing ability. My only issue comes at the end where he makes Trevor Bauer, a rude holier than thou jerk at best. Possibly a repugnant sex pest (this was written before his allegations so cut some slack there), look as a smart and relatable underdog to be revered. The things he says in the book show the swaggering I’m better than everyone attitude I was disgusted by even before any of the terrible acts that got him into legal trouble occurred.
