Story was predictable with many of the classic action sci-fi tropes, but the dialog was absolutely painful at times. Scenes felt pre-fabricated then stitched together haphazardly. One example is the protagonist’s using a vapor plume that routinely erupted from the surface as propellant to reach a stable orbit. Okay, g-force and structural integrity issues aside, I guess Delta-V is Delta-V. But then immediately upon reaching orbit the protagonist’s tiny vessel is magically right in the middle (as in visual range) of a small space battle without the main bad guy noticing? Come on…
Wish the writer the best, but this one needed to cook a lot longer.
