This book is fantastic. I don’t even know where to being.
First off – the voice acting is absolutely phenomenal. Jeff Hays really is a one man Ensemble. I am in awe of the range his voice can get. His delivery is perfection and caused me to laugh out loud multiple times.
Speaking laughing, the book is funny. It can be a little crude but if you know that going into it you’re okay. I would definitely describe it as something at 18 year old me would have cried at and 42 year old me still finds very funny even though I can recognize it as low brow at some points.
But who gives a F@$K – It has HRH GC Best in Dungeon Princess Donut.
The writing is great. It sucks you in. It makes you laugh. It is self aware. I love it. It’s just fun.
I really enjoy reading a lot. Sometimes I want to be transported into another world. Sometimes I want high fantasy, or very technical scifi. Other times I just want a silly adventure that makes me smile – kinda like Ready Player One or Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy – and this scratches that itch.
