Entertaining, humorous, fun and enjoyable zombie apocalypse book. While not the best of the genre it’s definitely not the worst. There are some situations in the story where you have to completely throw out “realistic”, but it is a Zombie Apocalypse book so reality is kind of suspended anyway. It’s just an entertaining story. Entertaining enough to continue with the rest of the series.
There would be no one in any end of the world situation that would follow an HOA rules. I wonder if the author has had past dealings with an HOA by the way he portrays the self important ego trip I must be obeyed HOA president. Would you really be able to make frenimies with a cannibal?
The story is a typical ZA book. People fighting for their survival against the zombies and other humans in a world gone crazy.
Andrew B. Werhlen did a really good job with the narration. Great character voices, and there are a lot of different characters. Nice voice easy on the ears. He has a voice you can easily listen to for hours. Pace of the narration fits the story. While his narration does convey the humor in the story there are a couple of times the MC’s sarcasim doesn’t come through completely. Overall though well done narration and a very enjoyable listen.
