I wanted to immediately pick up a piece of stationary and a pen and write Virginia Evans and let her know how much this book touched my heart on so many levels. In my 53 years of life I have written to my dead daughter for 23 of it. I have gone through the estrangement of my daughter recently and I have gone through divorce. And the best part is that I am 5’ tall and she expressed so well what it feels like to be a short woman always talked down to in a strong career. I feel like her character could have been my alter ego if she hadn’t used her phrases and words so perfectly. Thank you for making the mundane life be seen as important. Our trials, our hurts and wins make us a person that should never be simplified.
