Everyone felt stereotyped based on class, income, status, “manliness “. The old ways were the best, self-reliance was emphasized, murder is normalized. The writing was not even a step up from a preparedness book with the brand names and caliber of weapons taking up more listening time than character development. I have read quite a few SHTF books and this is not the worst but it’s far from the best. Neither the plot or character development or the writing style hold any surprises.
