I was a skeptical listener early on in this audiobook, wondering how the vehicle of correspondence would carry a story. I was pleasantly surprised, however, as the ride was both emotionally satisfying as well as scenic. Many thanks to the author for inserting in the story references to other books and authors which I took as a glimpse into the writing process itself.
